Truck Delpa is called Delpa Group's new application for tracking national and international land cargo for its customers. This technological innovation came to revolutionize the way of managing logistics of this multinational company, which was born in Santiago 21 years ago and which today has 12 of its own workshops, with a presence throughout South America, North America and Europe.
What services does Delpa Group offer its customers?
Our presence with our own workshops in 12 countries, plus the network of strategic partners that we have at a global level, allows us to reach more than 50 countries, making us the only South American logistics operator with this level of coverage. However, in relation to our services, we cover the entire logistics chain, both in national and international land transport, as well as in air, sea and warehouse services. Ultimately, we provide our customers with comprehensive solutions for the entire logistics chain, and they can decide whether to hire the full service or just one part. At the end of the day, we have more than 5,000 customers from all industries and sizes in South America.
How did you come up with the idea of developing Truck Delpa?
We have a strategic growth plan for 2030, which has the intention of increasing the number of countries with our own workshops in the world to 33. At the same time, our organizational culture is very customer-focused, in terms of quality, excellent service and efficiency.
Along these lines, we know that the customer concept has changed completely from what it was five years ago, due to technological advances. Today, it is not enough to deliver good service and good attention: the customer demands speed in communications and responses and immediate solutions. This is why, as a company with a vision of the future, where land transport is one of the company's key services, we decided to develop, based on our experience, a complete and modern application of National and International Land Cargo Tracking.
What does this application consist of and how does it work?
In a world that is changing, companies that have implemented technologies will be the ones that dominate the market, as well as adding operational efficiency to their processes, will have comparative and competitive advantages, and will be able to differentiate themselves and adapt to the customer of the future.
In this aspect, we took on the challenge of transforming ourselves into a leading technology and logistics solutions company and created Truck Delpa. This is an application (App) downloadable to a cell phone or mobile device, which allows you to optimize the time of your customers, giving you the possibility of reviewing the entire route and logistics chain of your cargo, at any time and from any place.
Through it, the customer can know, online and in real time, where their load is, and decide to follow up. At the same time, there is also the possibility of self-managing the contracting of a truck service, from any part of South America, as the system shows all the trucks that are circulating online. In short, all management can be done through this App, from requesting a truck to being paid for the service.
What are your projections or expectations for Truck Delpa?
Currently the application is working for our customers, but our proposal is to open it to the general market, where it can be used by natural people and transport workers, becoming a meeting point between those who need transport services and those who offer them. In the second half of the year we will release the application and we hope it will become a revolution, which will be able to change the history of land cargo transport logistics.
